First Look: Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat

Our first real-life look at Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat

This week we got our first look at Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat in real life photos on Mustang Mach-E GT thanks to Ford Motor Company Exterior Design Manager Chris Walter.

The below pics show a Mustang Mach-E painted in the exclusive GT-only Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat hue—a color that, Ford says, is for “Mustang customers who really want to show off their Mustang – especially those that look to make a bold statement.”

In the close up, we can see the amount of metallic and pearl that are present in the color.

Tri-coat paint differs from the traditional dual-coat process, with an additional midcoat between the base color coat and clear coat. The midcoat is semi-transparent and combines with the base coat to provide vivid colors. Midcoats help produce pearl, chameleon and candy paint jobs that show off a glitter-like appearance.

Cyber Orange is now available when buyers reserve Mustang Mach-E GT at Ford.com.
